My Parlor Grand

I was called to be the Relief Society pianist at church... after I already told the relief society president that I didn't have a piano in my home. How am I suppose to practice? No way I would go to the church building EVERY single night to use a piano! And I certainly am not going to practice on a keyboard! And yes, if I had my piano with me, I would practice every day. How else am I suppose to improve? ...So Jacob and I decided to have my piano (at my parent's house) delivered to us. My parents bought me the piano when I was 14 and we always that this plan that when I got married and moved out, I would take it with me. My mom was pushing for us to move it whenever we could. I mean, sure, just let me pull $200 out of my butt and get professional piano movers to haul that thing! Well, we that's just what we did, lol. I took the day off since I had to be at my parent's house to let the piano movers in... but there was traffic on the Ortega on our way there, so I had to get my aunt to leave work to let them in the house. By the time we got to my parents' house, the piano was already moved and my aunt was leaving. Jacob dropped me off, went to work, and I took my car and drove back home. That's a long 1 1/2 hours! ...and then to turn around and do it again!

So I did some laundry, cleaned up around the house, chatted with my BFF Betsy on gmail chat, and waited for the piano movers. They came and our 'then' dining room is now a piano room! We figured since we don't use our dining room for formal dining, we could just put the piano there. It's too big to put in the living room so now we have a living room, with a piano room next to it :) hehe! It looks great in there. Here are before and after pics!

Now we just need a huge framed mirror on the wall or some kinda art! Oh, and we'll be painting this weekend because that light green just isn't pretty! I don't know what the previous owners were thinking when they chose that!

Car Camera

Every Friday Jacob has a half day so he came to my work and we got to have lunch together. We ate at Scott's Deli. They have yummy pastrami sandwiches and boba slushies (asian thing lol). We had a few minutes left before I had to go back to work so I had Jacob park in the hybrid parking (since we have a Prius). Having a Prius certainly has its perks. Here is a view of what's behind us! Please excuse the dusty dashboard!

Jacob and I were driving home from work today and when we pulled into our community this is what we saw on Sugarberry Lane. Isn't it gorgeous!? I love Murrieta!

Here is our family picture for 2010! I think of all of the ones we took, this was the best one... We look like a Skittles ad. It was Mom's idea to wear those colors-- couples had to wear the same color. Heheh

Golf, Baptism, Dinner and Fun!

Yesterday Jacob, Kaleb and I went and played a round at the Murray Golf Course. It was pretty windy so if the hole was on the right side of the green, we would have to aim about 20 feet to the left of it! It started raining pretty hard while we were golfing... It was funny because Jacob and I were out of our carts and as soon as it started raining hard, we hurried over to our golf cart to get away from the rain (as if it would keep us dry)! HAHA It was windy and raining so we got pretty wet since it rained sideways! It was fun golfing with them!

Afterwards, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Nielsen's house to get ready for Dustin's Baptism. We hurried and drove down to Draper (where Dustin and Krista live) and made it just in time! Dad (Brian, my father-in-law) baptized Dustin and Jacob gave spoke about the holy ghost. After the baptism, we all headed to Jessica's place, talked for a bit and tried to figure out where we could all eat dinner. We then decided on Chili's. We had so much fun!

Then after that, we all went to Krista and Dustin's and hung out for hours! We laughed and laughed and laughed! We played with their dog, Koda, who is a black lab mix. He is such a good dog! I think he and Coco would get along great! We also made up a game... we each had our own piece of paper with our name at the top. Then we passed our papers around to everyone and everyone had to contribute and draw us (in a funny way), then at the end we would receive our papers back... Our pictures came out so ridiculous! And it was so fun! We hung out until about 3 in the morning! It was so rad!!! We all had to go because we had church that today lol... Jacob and I drove Jessica home, we drove Kaleb back to G & G Nielsen's and Jacob and I drove around looking for a local hotel. We decided not to drive up to Kaysville (to my Aunt Ann's house where we were staying) since it would be too long of a drive and we were already waaaaay tired. We found a place called Crystal Inn. It was only $70 bucks for the night. We stayed there... and for the few hours we

stayed there, it was SO NICE! It felt like we were having a real vacation! ...because we were away from stress and hustle and bustle, and everyone!

So Much Fun!

During Krista and Dustin's wedding, we (me, Jacob, Jessica, Kaleb, and their uncle Brad), drove over to Harmon's (a grocery store like Trader Joe's), bought some toilet paper, tape, saran wrap, and soap... We drove over to Krista and Dustin's place to trash-- I mean, decorate their car :)

Mr. & Mrs. McCutcheon

Today Jacob's younger sister, Krista, married Dustin McCutcheon. They have been going out for a long time and had a short engagement, and now they are married! Here are pictures!

Leaving for Utah

Jacob went to work and I took the day off to do laundry and clean up around the house and get everything ready to leave for Utah. I packed our bags and left the house with Coco. I drove out to Orange County to drop her off at my parent's house for the rest of the week while Jacob and I go out of town. I wasn't sure if I should drive the long way (15 North to 91 West to toll road), or take the shorter way (Ortega). I was afraid Coco would get sick on the Ortega. She seemed fine the first couple minutes... Then she got all drunkified! Poor puppy. She looked so dizzy. I knew she was getting sick. I pulled over a few times to let the faster cars pass me and to let Coco pull herself together. She finally fell asleep. Jacob and I will be leaving for Utah when he gets home from work. I don't like traveling at night and he doesn't like wasting the day traveling.
