Okay, so yesterday when Bella and I spent the day together, I hustled over to Petsmart! They had a sale on pets' halloween costumes-- I know, I know... I told myself I wouldn't become one of those pet owners... the kind who dress their pets up in costumes! But this is just this one time! And Bella loved it! Jacob came back from Riverside and was like, "What the!?!?" lol Surprise! Jacob and I stayed at my aunt's house to pass out candy... but only 1 group of kids came by. I guess all the kids in the neighborhood all grew up!

Rawrrrrrr
So our department at work is called "Porting". We are the ones who technically transfer (or "port") customers' phone numbers between Cox and other providers (AT&T, Verizon, Tmobile, etc). The other department we work right next to is called "411/911" (not really sure what they do, but it's important!). Anyway, Samantha (the supervisor of 411/911) dressed up as a cat lady and some of the girls from her group and one of the girls (Shaundra) from our Porting group dressed up as her cats. One of the cats (Tania Clark) even made a kitty litter cake! Pretty gross looking... but it was yummy! She used crumbled candy bars (to make the sand), and big Tootsie Rolls for the... litter. :) Our company here at Cox Communications encourages the employees to dress up for Halloween... And then we have an annual Halloween parade (where people in costumes parade down the big hall (aka the Atrium). They are really into celebrating every holiday lol

Doggies...
I caught Bella being cute with Coco and Nikki (my mom's German Shepherd/Husky mix). Bella is still pretty small compared to Coco and Nikki... She is taking her time to grow!
She looks like she's singing in this picture below...

Caution: Crime Scene!
Sandy and I were the last ones at work... and we decided to decorate our cube. Heather, our boss, even let us trace her body with tape on the floor! hehe... Okay, so it's no the best looking body outline-- we were in a hurry!

The Long and Winding Road
So for a month, Jacob and I will be house-sitting my parents' house while they are on vacation in Australia and Hawaii. Jacob and I went back to Murrieta today to get Coco and some of our clothes (we left Bella at my aunt's house). Jacob and I will be stopping by our house at least 1-2 times a week to check on it... make sure it isn't broken in to lol ...
Anyway, we got Coco and had her sit in the back like usual. I always worry about Coco whenever we take the Ortega Hwy because she gets sick :( I think it's because she can see what's outside... Poor thing threw up in the car and we had to pull over at one of the campsites to clean up! Well, Jacob cleaned up... while Coco and I watched :) Coco finally slept the rest of the way to OC... And when we finally got off Ortega, she was happy and stuck her head out the window!
She was even more happy to see her cousin Emma (my cousin's black lab/german shepherd mix).

Happy Birthday, Cuzzins!
Dan (left) and Troy (right)
Today Jacob and I (with Bella) drove out to OC for my cousins' birthdays. Whenever Jacob and I travel with Bella, she likes to climb behind me and sit on my shoulders. Anyways, both my cousins Troy and Dan share the same birthdate... AND they're brothers! We celebrated at the usual place for birthday parties-- Tita My's house. (My Aunt Myra). We had yummy, yummy food-- pancit, egg rolls, bbq, kare-kare-- you know, the usual good stuff! Kuya Troy lit the fire pit while my cousin Liza and I went to Target to get stuff to make smores. I made smores for all the kids. It was fun! The rest of the night, we hung out. It was great. Happy birthday Troy (who is 37) and Dan (who is 21)!

Happy Burfday Feather
Today was Heather's (my boss) office birthday! (Tomorrow is her actual birthday). We got her a cake with her favorite colors-- red and gold (for USC!) She graduated from there. Anyway, we surprised her in the conference room. It was nice! Here are some pics

Here He Comes To Save The Day!
We drove out to Orange County again. We always take Ortega Hwy. While we were driving through Ortega, we were following behind a truck and it started to slow down. He eventually stopped. Apparently there were rocks and small boulders that fell and they were blocking the opposite lane and on our lane (there are only 2 lanes)! So Jacob got out of the car, as well as the guy in front of us, to move the boulders to the side. Then 2 other guys from the opposite lane got out of their trucks to assist. I was so proud of my husband. He and the other guys cleared up as much as they could. As he was walking back to the car, the cars that were waiting in line to pass drove by and thanked him. I told him he was awesome :) ...Because he is!
Jacob is the one wearing jeans. Good job, J!
Bella
Six weeks ago my friend, Tanya Nolan, told me about her friend Lisa, who has a golden retriever that just had a liter of puppies! Lisa was giving them away and Jacob and I wanted one, but we weren't ready to care for a NEWBORN puppy. So I asked Tanya if it would be okay that Lisa put a puppy on hold for us! Well she did! The puppies were 6 weeks old last week so Jacob and I went to Lisa's to pick a puppy out! We wanted a girl so Coco could have a little sister ;) Lisa's daughters named the puppies and we ended up picking "Isabella". Jacob and I couldn't think of any good girl puppy names (Goldie, Sunny and Copper, were among the list) and so we went with "Bella". It suites her. She is so fun and cute! She keeps us up at night but it isn't a big deal to me since that's what I had to go through with Coco ;)
Bulls-eye!
Jacob and I own a BB gun. I always wanted one-- my cousin Troy had one when we were growing up and I was always jealous that he got to shoot it. Anyway, my younger cousin Joanna spent the night and Jacob showed her how to shoot the BB gun. We took a lid from a cardboard box and put it over an empty bucket we had and used that to shoot at. (The bucket is for catching the BB's). After spending some time out on the side of the house and some practice shooting, Joanna hit the bulls-eye! Way to go! Here is some proof...

My Office Wife
Oct 2009: Shan decorating my desk with Halloween lights!
So the girls at work and I all have this joke. It started with Shaundra and Sandy. They always hang out together and go to lunch together and take breaks together. Every one in the office has a buddy :) ...or in this case, "office wife". Shaundra and Sandy joke about how they are each others' office wife! Robin's office wife was Rhonda... but then Rhonda moved to another department so they "separated"! LoL, Robin's new office wife is Karina.. but she's moving to the same department that Rhonda moved to! Anyways! Today I realized even I have an office wife! It's Shannon!
We always get breakfast and lunch in the cafe, we used to get Starbucks for each other, and we would decorate each other's desks for our birthdays. She is the coolest person I have ever met at Cox! We both started out as temps at Cox and since then, she's got me listening to Dr. Laura, reading Twilight, reading Harry Potter, and just reading in general! And if you know me, you know I hate to read. She gives great advice and is for real-- she tells you like it is, which is hard to find in a friend. Anyway, Shannon has been on this waiting list for school to be an ultrasound technician! She has been waiting for a couple years now and finally moved up the list and is now going to school for it! So happy for her! But sad to say that today was her last day at Cox Communications. We went to Ball Park (pizza) as a farewell lunch. That's her favorite pizza place. I'm gonna miss her but I'm sure we'll keep in touch via text and twitter lol. She doesn't have a facebook-- that's how cool she is. Too cool for FB.
