GENIUS!

So we have 3 dogs (2 are ours, and 1 is Krista & Dustin's). Anyway, Jacob and I have always bought Pedigree for Coco and Bella. We decided to change it up a bit since Bella didn't seem to be getting all the nutrition she needs (since she is technically still a puppy). Jacob and I bought 2 different types of dog food and mixed it. My mom stores the dog food in a clean trash can or hamper to keep the dog food fresh. What a genius idea!

We went and got a trash bin and voila! It's way easier than keeping the dog food in the huge dog food bag out in the open.

Jada!

Today we went to Dave and Tanya's house to check out the new canoe they got. Dave Nolan is our home teacher. He lives right across the street from us. He was talking about his canoe and of course Jacob had to see it. Anyways, I don't have a picture of the canoe, but I did take a picture of their beautiful German Shepherd, Jada! She's such a good dog! She reminds me of the German Shepherd we used to have named Rexie. Rexie was my mom's favorite dog :)

Happy Halloween!

As usual, people at work dressed up. And we had yet another stupid skit by the Warehouse department lol
Nancy Corrington looking totally cute! I want that costume!
These people won first place in the costume contest!
Two guys from the Warehouse department. I told them to make their angry pirate faces and they give me this face. lol
Damsel in distress stuck on an 'island'. Two ships to the rescue-- one bad ship with black crossbones (competitors of Cox Communications)... other ship is the Blue "good" ship (Cox communications).
Best part of the day: COOKIES!!! FREE COOKIES!!!

Happy Birthday Troy & Dan!

My cousins Troy and Dan, who are brothers, both celebrated their birthdays today. They have the same birthday- October 23rd. They are 16 years apart! Troy is 38 and Dan is 22. Anyway, I was going to bake some themed cupcakes for them-- Troy loves to mountain bike, so I was going to do cupcakes with mountain bikes and Dan is a sous chef, so I was going to do kitchen themed cupcakes, but I had no fondant and I wanted something fast and easy.

This was fast and easy. And 'gay', apparently. Hahaha. Oh well! Happy Birthday, guys!

Saturday Adventure - Los Angeles

Today was so fun! Jacob and I drove up to Los Angeles. We went to my cousin's house to pick up Liza and Joanna. This was outside of the apartments next to themFrom there, we went to the Griffith Park Observatory. I've lived in California since I was 4 (23 years!), and I've never been there! So today was a special day :)
I was standing on a table (like the lunch tables from elementary school). Jacob took this picture as I was falling. Okay, I wasn't falling. I was slipping.
Behind the dome, in the distance, is downtown L.A. You can't see it because of all the smog!
The dome is open! And there's the Hollywood sign in the distance.

My cousins Joanna and Liza. Lol, Joanna looks like she is looking at the wall!
This is as close as I'll get to the moon!

I wanted to take a picture closer to the Hollywood sign. So we decided to get as close as we could to it! We drove up and down the hills and crowded LA neighborhoods. We saw big houses with zero driving space. It was like, the further you drove up, the tinier and more cramped the neighborhood got!

Almost there... We really had no idea what road(s) to take to get there. We just guessed!
We drove up this mountain where there were a bunch of people hiking. I wasn't satisfied. I still wanted a closer shot.
And this was as close as we got!!! We found another road and it took us through this windy, congested street. Hello, Hollywood!

After finding the sign, we drove down Hollywood Blvd. The streets were packed. I wanted to park the car and walk around but we had no idea where to park. We just drove. I tried to take pictures...

We went to Venice Beach. This was our main attraction. I have been wanting to go since forever, so I could take some action photos of the skateboarders. We had no idea there was a skateboarding competition! Three generations of pro-skateboarders were there! Including Tony Hawk and Sergie Ventura!

After Venice Beach, we headed to the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I have never been there before. It was awesome! We walked around outside and took some pictures. The architecture was amazing. These two pictures are my attempt at panoramas
Below: This was taken from behind the Disney Concert Hall. It's so pretty!

We wanted to make one more stop... the Los Angeles Temple! We brought my cousins there. We went inside the visitor's center and took a quick tour since it was 8pm already and we still had to drive 2 hours to get home! Isn't it beautiful? I love the temple. I hope to someday go to all the temples in California!
