Mr. & Mrs. Manabat

One of my best friends, Irene Tran, got married today! She married her long-time boyfriend Steven Manabat. He is Filipino and his last name is pronounced Ma-NAH-Baht. Anyways! The wedding was great. It was at the Crystal Cathedral. Jacob and I arrived just in time to see Irene's dad give her away. The wedding party looked awesome, too.

The wedding reception took place in the Grand Garden restaurant. It's nice inside! And lucky us, we got to sit at the same table as our friends Sean and Inok Wallitsch, Irene's little brother Kenny, along with our other friend Sarah Anderson and Brian Jorgenson. It was good times! Unfortunately, Jacob and I had to leave a little earlier than we wanted because we had a long drive home, and we were planning on leaving reeeeeally early the next day to go to Arizona. More pictures!

Yo Adreiaaaaaan!

Today my nephew Adreian got baptized today. My family is Catholic, so the babies get baptized...when they are babies. Haha. Adreian's face makes us laugh because he always does this thing with his eyebrows like he's got that "Watchu talkin' bout, Willis??" look.
We didn't make it to the baptism since we were at church, but we did make it to the reception at the Norman P. Murray center. I saw a bunch of senior citizens walking in and whispered to my cousin sarcastically, "is it also Senior Citizen Day or something??".
She told me, "Umm... it's always senior citizen day. This is a senior center..".

Hahaha! Hellerrrr! Doy.

After the reception, we took the 5 south home (instead of Ortega), and pulled over to take this picture

The Fab Four

Jacob's friend Dave hooked us up with some Fab Four tickets again this year! This is our third time going to the Fab Four concert! It was fun. They are an awesome Beatles tribute band. They sound like them, they play like them, and they look like them!

Happy Birthday Camille!

Camille was 3 or 4 in this picture.
Today was my little sister's 10th birthday party! Tomorrow 9/19 is her actual birthday. I can't believe she's 10. When I look at her, I think she's still 5! Then again, she is pretty small for a 10 year old. Hehe :) But she is growing up so fast. Next thing you know, she'll be dating. Yikes. Okay let's not think too far ahead.

Jacob and I made cupcakes for Camille's birthday. She LOVES Domo, so I decided to do a Domo birthday for her. I also made a Domo pillow and some Domo speakers. :)
The cupcakes are chocolate fudge with vanilla frosting, sprayed with edible blue frost spray.
The Domo characters were cut out from foam paper (fondant is way too expensive)!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMILLE! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! YOU ARE A WONDERFUL SISTER AND I COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE <3

Goals

Remember this huge framed chalkboard we bought from Home Goods?

Last night, Jacob gave a wonderful FHE (family home evening) lesson about goals and priorities. He talked about temporal goals and spirituals goals, and how spiritual goals are more important than our temporal ones (though the temporal ones are important, too). :) I decided that the best way to achieve our goals is to always be reminded of them by writing them down, or in a place where you can always see/read it. So I erased the chalkboard and did this!

The McMuffins

Jacob's sister, Krista and her husband Dustin McCutcheon (whom I call McMuffin) moved in with us a week ago. We thought it would be a good idea for them to help us with our bills, while we help them (by giving them a smaller rent) and a bigger home to live in and eventually save enough money to buy their own place in California since it's better out here. Their words, not mine! They moved out here the day before we were expecting them. The house was not at its best, and we were still in our pajamas trying to clean! ...Thanks. I really do hate surprises. Haha

Along with Krista and Dustin, there is also their dog, Koda, who is a Border Collie/Lab mix. He is a sweet dog and smart, too! Not very sociable, since he's been in an apartment (while in Utah with Krista and Dustin). He eventually got used to Coco and Bella, and vice-versa. They still need a little work, but I think they are pretty tolerant of each other.

The main reason I wanted them to come out, was so they would have support in working on getting to the temple to get sealed. They were married last year in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints on August 6th and two days later, Dustin was baptized! It was great. They want to get married in the San Diego Temple! That's where Jacob and I got married! I'm very excited for them :)

Huntington Beach

I LOOOOOVE Huntington Beach! There's always a spot to park, and it isn't far of a walk either! Oh, and because it's pretty. :) We got lucky and found a spot right on the street, just steps away from the sand. We decided to spend the afternoon here and watch the Kiteboarders/surfers. It was awesome!
