A Bun In The Oven?? Make That, THREE!

A couple of days ago, Jacob and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary! That evening, we made homemade bread together. I LOVE when Jacob wants to cook with me! And I enjoy cooking with him! It's so much more enjoyable! Here's what we made!

Haha, the siamese buns on the right are a little off! It's ok-- nobody's buns are perfect... Bahahahahaa... .. .

Oh, and we made pizzas the following day! Jacob did pepperoni and I did peperoni and shrooms, of course!

Dinner at Marie Calendar's the night before the wedding!

Yesterday was our four year wedding anniversary! Jacob's family left in the afternoon, and Jacob and I spent the rest ofte afternoon lounging around the house and spending time with each other :)

A couple of days ago, Jacob's mom taught me and Jessica how to make homemade bread, and so last night I was so happy to hear Jacob ask if I would teach him how! So Jacob and I made homemade bread (3 loaves!), and cooked spaghetti for our anniversary dinner. For the last three years, Jacob and I have gone on trips/cruises for our anniversary. A couple of months ago, I was a little upset, knowing that we wouldn't be able to go cruising for this year's anniversary... but I couldn't be any happier celebrating four amazing years with my wonderful husband in OUR new home :) I could not ask for more! I love him so much-- with all my heart.

Family

This last week Jacob's mom, dad and brother Kaleb, drove from Arkansas to Utah to visit Jacob's 2 sisters and the extended family. From there, they drove here to California to visit us! Jacob and I were (and are) still waiting for our new mattress to be delivered (Costco is just taking their precious time)! We moved our old bed and frame to one of the guest rooms for his parents, and his brother and sisters stayed in the other guest rooms with air mattresses :)

His family came just in time Sunday night! Jacob and I were painting and cleaning up around the house all day so it could be "presentable". Haha... And his family arrived soon after we finished painting! We didn't take very many pictures, but here's what we have

Family Room & Kitchen Update!

Ever since Jacob and I saw our kitchen and family room for the first time, we decided we were definitely going to do some painting! We got some sweet color swatches from Restoration Hardware and had Home Depot match the paint colors! It's cheaper that way! By the way, we did ALL the wall painting on Sunday before Jacob's family arrived!!!

New Paint! We couldn't decide if we wanted the back wall to be one color (since the family room wall is shared with the kitchen wall). It used to be purple/burgundy. We decided to make the family room a yellow color, and then the kitchen a blue color :D Excuse the mess

Restoration Hardware Collection. We used "Shore" from the Shore Paint Collection, and "Butter Cream" from the Butter Paint Collection! Never buy crazy expensive brand name paint! Just pick your swatches, bring them to Home Depot, and they will match the color for you! It'll save you money and they are pretty good with matching/creating colors!

NOW we can live!

So Jacob and I have been "shopping around" for appliances. I don't know why they call it "shopping around", since the point is just LOOKING around and seeing what's out there-- not literally shopping. Anyways! We've been going to Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot-- you name it, we've probably been there. We decided our best option for buying appliances was the Sears Outlet. We've probably gone 7 times to "shop around", and this last visit, we finally made our purchases! Below is what we bought! We got GREAT deals! If you haven't done so, go and check out the Sears Outlet! The one is Santa Ana is better than the Corona one. Corona sucks :)

Now we can live! We can cook, eat, store our food, and wash AND dry our clothes! So grateful for all these! I will be taking pictures of our appliances when our kitchen is ready and when they are in their rightful places!

Exterior Painting :)

The first project we wanted to tackle with our house was having the exterior painted! Our awesome broker, Joyce White, referred her painter, Jose, to us. He and his crew did a great job! And it was for a very reasonable and surprisingly inexpensive price! Here are the before and after pictures!

Kitchen Cabinets

After our painter Jose, finished painting the exterior of our house, we had him paint our kitchen cabinets! They used to be yellow/orange/brownish, which honestly, in my opinion, did not go well with our black granite countertops! So we went with the obvious color! ...WHITE! well, we used "Polar Bear" courtesy of Behr paint. Check it out!

Now we just need to paint the walls a lighter color! Oh, and there's Coco to the left :)
